An honest look at your brand, through your customer’s eyes

When you’re close to something, you stop seeing it clearly. You stop noticing the drift, the bits that don’t match and the gap between what you meant and what’s actually landing.

The audit steps back and looks at your brand the way a customer does, not the way the person who built it does. We find what’s working, what isn’t, and where it’s quietly costing you.

Then we sort it. What stays. What gets fixed. What goes.

Who it’s for

Founder-led businesses whose brand no longer feels like them. Sound familiar?

“My business has grown and changed, but my brand hasn’t kept up.”

“My marketing isn’t bringing results and I don’t know why.”

“We can’t show what makes us different.”

“We’re about to spend on a rebrand and want to know what we actually need.”

“We’ve got an anniversary coming up and it feels like the right time.”

What we look at

Behind the scenes

Your purpose, values and positioning. Are they clear? Do they guide how you actually work? Does your team tell the same story?

Out in the world

Logo, colours, fonts, imagery, website, socials, proposals and print. Does it all look and sound like one brand? How do you stack up against your competitors?

Where brand meets reality

How it feels to buy from you. Enquiries, onboarding, support and reviews. We find the leaks where your promise isn’t delivered, and the friction that slows people down.

How it works

1

Brew and brief. We start with a proper conversation. Where you are, where you want to get to, and what’s bugging you.

2

Gather. You send me what you’ve got: website, socials, proposals, print, guidelines if you have them. I do the digging.

3

Review. I score your brand across the nine building blocks of Branding 3×3 and map the drift, leaks and friction.

4

Sort it. We go through the findings together, over a brew. Keep it, fix it or bin it.

What happens next

The audit decides your route.

Sometimes it’s a lick of paint. Sometimes the wall comes down. And sometimes the brand’s fine and the real problem is the offer or the marketing. Branding is the amplifier, not the magic ingredient. If that’s the answer, I’ll tell you straight.

FAQs

I already know I want a rebrand. Do I still need an audit?

Yes. A rebrand without an audit throws out the good with the bad. When Make a Brew became Brew Your Brand, the brew stayed because it was still true. The audit tells you what’s worth keeping.

Will you just tell me to rebrand?

No. If your brand’s doing its job, I’ll say so. If the real issue is your offer, pricing or marketing, I’ll say that too.

What do I need to send you?

Whatever you’ve got. Website, socials, proposals, brochures, guidelines, even the email signature. Nothing’s too small.

How long does it take?

2 weeks from brief to findings.

Is this the same as the Brand Clarity Scorecard?

The scorecard is a three-minute self check. The audit is me, looking properly, across everything.

Does the audit fee count towards Revamp or Kickstart?

An audit is not needed for Kickstart – you are starting with a blank page. And the Audit is an optional but recommended part of a Revamp project so the cost does not count toward the other project.
